Posting Pictures / Signatures To post pictures on this forum you first need to have your picture saved to an online photo holding site. We use Photobucket
https://www.photobucket.com/ mainly because it's simple and free to use.
You have to register first - you know, fill in your name and all the boring details required, then go to where it says upload photos.
You can then upload photos from either your computer or from a connected source - from a digital camera / CD etc. by selecting the file from the "Browse" option then hitting "Submit".
You can then post these images by highlighting the URL and copying it (hit the "CTRL" button with "C" at the same time) and then pasting it in your post ("CTRL" + "P" at the same time). Make sure it has "
![]()
" at the end.
A good way to check is to click on the "Preview" button at the bottom of your post to make sure that everything looks good before it gets posted.
To post a Signature do the exact same thing but only in the area where it says "Signature" in your "Profile".
Please try and make sure that your photos are not hideously huge as this will make loading unbearably slow and let's face it, no one has time to wait for a photo to load up.
Banners should be no more than 500 x 180 pixels in size
and avatars have a limit of 80 x 80 pixels with a file size of 6kb.
If you're not sure of the size of your photo, open it up and then "right click" onto "Properties" and have a look at where it says "Size".
Adding Links 1 Copy and paste the url of the site/page (or type it out .. ie
www.amazon.com) into the message screen.
2 Highlight it
3 Click on the 'URL' box at the top right of the page, this will add "[url]" to the beginning and end of the address.
